Syntax details
For all types of rule model:
- Case and layout are not significant. So you need not worry about case differences nor inconsistent spacing.
- Double quote characters ("........") provide a way to override the normal conventions relating to reserved symbols. Single quote characters (') are not interpreted in any special way.
- Each rule must end with a period.
- An optional certainty factor may precede the period.
- Comments may be entered: either end-of-line comments beginning with the marker % or multi-line comments contained between the markers /* and */.
- Facts may be expressed as <FACT> conclusion <.> and these behave like rules with zero conditions (unconditional truths).
